Stainless steel is a proven, durable material that is easy to care for and rust-resistant. It provides a smooth surface without any taste and has only minimal influence on the horse’s salivation.
A Pelham acts on the mouth, lower jaw and poll when the reins are applied. Depending on the length of the shanks, the angle of the bit in the horse’s mouth can change and the action may vary accordingly. The Pelham can be used for horses that require more support in elevation or in situations where a more pronounced action is needed.
The single-jointed mouthpiece allows direct action on the tongue and bars and supports clear rein aids.
